Link for the day: Meet Salcha! She is a member of the avalanche rescue K-9 team at Mt. Bachelor. I saw her on Friday when I was skiing. What a beauty! Check out the website while you're there. Very cool dogs doing important work! They need donations, too!

I just emailed the book. I'm so tired, but today is my busy day so there would be no time to write.

Thanks for all your supportive comments and chocolate! They really got me through the crunch time.

Now I'm going to sleep!

Love,
Melissa

Hooray! Yippee! Congrats on delivering your book. How long do you have to wait for feedback?

Thanks Dru!

I got an email from my editor this morning. She's already half-way through the ms. and so far loving it. This is when the time difference between the West Coast and London comes in handy! Fingers crossed she likes the second half too!

Well, I wanted to check out the pup's picture, but my dial-up connection had other ideas. *sigh*

Tori - Sorry! Try going to the main site www.barkdogs.org then entering. The link is actually a slide show of her with music. Even on my ibook with cable it takes a bit to load.

WTG! YOU FINISHED!! Enjoy your sleep!

Thanks Brandy! I actually just woke up from a 2+ hour nap with my four year old. I had to teach my class today with 15 3-9 year olds. I'd only had 3.5 hours of sleep. Made it through the hour class okay, but boy was I tired during the drive home. Hubby's downstairs cooking dinner. It's going to be nice to rejoin the family:)

Now I'm able to check out your link of the day. Salcha is a beautiful dog and the work they do is tremedous. Thanks for sharing the link.

Dru,

Glad you enjoyed the link. I got the it from a blog I read each day. http://outdoorspro.blogspot.com/

I had asked him in the comment section about the dog after seeing her and he provided all the info for me in his blog yesterday.

I hope to get to meet her and show her to the kidlets the next time I'm there.

I've got a severe case of puppy love for her!
