My writing goal today is to rough out the remaining parts of the book so I can spend the week rewriting instead of writing. I'm a much better rewriter than writer.
Yesterday was almost a total wash writing wise though the princess tea party was a success (our camera broke 1/4 into it) and the hubby's company party at Greek Cucina in downtown Portland last night was so much fun. We even won a $300 gift certificate from American Airlines, who we affectionately called the Evil Empire when I worked for the Friendly Skies.
I'll post the tally tomorrow. I'm down to single digit countdown to D-day. Panicked, stressed, craving chocolate and wishing there was a hottie hero here to massage my tense shoulders.
Anyone have any recommendations for a new digital camera? That's something I need to get by Thursday and don't have time to do a lot of research! Thanks!
Have a great day!

Hmmm, digital camera. I'd suggest mine, but the batteries were hard to find until we bought a rechargable. My MIL/FIL bought canon (from Wal-mart, not too expensive)and the pictures it takes are great. Glad to hear the party went well, both of them! Sorry you're stressing over the deadline. Wish there was someway I could help, but......you're on your own. You definitely need some chocolate, that always help, right? *g*
Thanks, Brandy. You're right about needing chocolate. I think I might have a slice of birthday cake. Good suggestion!
I forgot to mention that ten minutes before the princess party, my glasses broke. Now I totally look like a geek with the tape holding the frames together on the left side. It's too funny! Plus I had to wear them out to the party like that last night. I'm sure hubby's coworkers all think I'm now an eccentric, nerdy writer! I have to get them fixed before the ski trip though. I'm afraid I might break them even more if I don't! Good thing I bought glasses insurance. Learned that after one baby destroyed my last pair.
Oh, Canon! I'll check them out. I have a Canon SLR that I bought years ago and love. I should check out their digital line. I know my lens would work with some the higher end digitals, but those are too expensive. I want something that will take good pictures and fit in my purse so I can just carry it around with me. I don't want to bother with lenses.
Hubby just bought himself a BlackBerry this week and he's in heaven learning all it can do.
My favorite treat is cake. I'd rather have that than most any other sweet. Bad for me, but oh, so good! *G*
Sorry to hear about your glasses. I wear contacts, have to, I'm blind as a bat without them! If I wear glasses the blur at the edges ofmy sight makes me sick. Whoever invented glasses insurance was a genius! Hope you get them fixed soon.
Ah, the Blackberry. Chris, my hubs, likes to play with all those too. His job (major cell co.) asks him sometimes to bring one home to test for bugs, and the kids love it too! I bet your Dh is having a BLAST! Good luck with your writing and I definitely vote you have a piece of cake! (I'm sooo mean for not incouraging eating healthy!! *G*)
Sorry your glasses broke. Hmm, I never heard of glasses insurance. I will definitely check on that.
I like my Olympus digital camera, but if I was going to buy a new one, I would look at Canon, Kodak and Sony. Good luck on your search.
I have faith that you will finish your writing so you can go on to the next stage of rewriting.
Chocolate, the cure for everything.
Brandy - when you're on deadline chocolate is not only allowed, but required. I had to give up chocolate twice when I was nursing the two youngest. It didn't agree with them. That was over four years of not a lot of chocolate with more than a couple of book deadlines thrown in. I swear I was dreaming about M&Ms. It was so pathetic!
Dru - Thanks for the vote of confidence. Much appreciated:)
I'm pretty much blind without glasses. I used to scuba dive and had a mask with prescription lenses built in. I could see better underwater without any correction, but once I couldn't see the boat when I surfaced so I got the special mask. I always dove with a buddy so it wasn't a big deal, but you gotta be able to find the boat yourself if anything ever went wrong!
I used to wear contacts until I got pregnant. I'd like to go back to contacts, but kidlets like the glasses. I learned about the insurance with the last pair which weren't insured. It was cheaper to just buy a new pair than fix them.
I'll add those digital camera brands to the list. I'm going to see if hubby can check them out. Usually I'm the one doing the research and then passing on the top couple picks to him.
