The party went great. The ten girls loved their American Girl Spa experience. For two and a half hours, laughter and giggles and fun reined supreme. I was tired by the end, but the smiles on the girls face were worth all the work and a 24 hour period of no writing.
But I managed to get back to work last night and am so excited. If you read yesterday's comments, you'll see I had a Eureka moment with the book. Everything gelled. I went back over the last chapter and the one thing that I hadn't quite figured out just fell into place with what I'd figured out yesterday. So somehow I need to keep going forward, yet go back at the same time. Haven't figured out how yet, but I'm hopeful I will today.
On the diet front, I was doing great. Even made strawberries dipped in chocolate without cheating, but the cupcake frosting on my fingers as I passed them out was too hard to resist and I licked it off. Not a huge cheat, and boy, was it tasty!
My plans for today: shower, write, take youngest kidlet to pony party, write, Mass, write. Not too much fun, but it's what I need to do. What about you?
Have a great day!

The American Girl Spa party sounds very interesting. I have a daughter who would love something like that.
Good luck on the diet. I'm on one too and have done so well up til tonite. Back on the wagon tomorrow.
Now its back to writing.
Welcome Ceri! Thanks for posting a comment.
I got everything for the spa party on the American Girl website. It was a whole kit and a lot of fun to do.
Hugs on falling off the wagon, but just get right back up there. I have my first weigh-in on Monday and am nervous. We're going to go to brunch and I may cheat a little since it's mother's day!
I'm glad that the party was a success.
I think a little chocolate is okay on your diet.
My plans was getting the tiles done. He started at 8am and was done by 3pm. With all the banging and breaking I was not able to quilt.
Happy Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day!
Cupcake icing mmmmmmmm! Yum! And it wasn't much of a cheat, so I wouldn't count it!
Glad to know that things with the book are starting to really click for you! I know how worried you were, but now you don't have to!
Have a great Brunch!
A Pony party? You have the coolest kid parties...
Happy Mother's Day! Hope you're spoiled rotten.
Thanks everyone!
Hugs on not being able to quilt, Dru.
You're a fan of icing, too, aren't you, Brandy?
The pony party was very cool. Rose had such a good time, Marianne. The birthday girl's mom even thought of all the parents and had stopped off at Starbucks for stuff. Too bad I don't drink coffee and had to pass on the fresh from the oven coffeecake due to the diet! It looked yummy.
