I finally started working on Chapter 10 after talking to my critique partner about the last two chapters. I'm starting over taking scenes and rewriting them to work better. That means cutting a lot of extra stuff if you notice from the total page count. I didn't make it on a hike yesterday, but am going this morning as soon as I add something to a scene I realized when I woke up needed to be there.
Notice my diet cheats. That will tell you I'm still panicked, totally freaked out that this book is due Friday and I still need to go through the entire thing again once I finish these last two chapters. I just want it done.
Thanks for all the support, too! Your comments really, really help. xoxox
Okay, back to it! Hope you have a great day!

I have faith that you'll get it done, and you've done quite well on the cheating if you ask me. It could be much worse.
Aw thanks Bailey! I'm hanging in there, but it's been a rough morning. Even broke down in tears mid-hike. Thank goodness I had the lake pretty much to myself.
As for the diet, I think if it weren't for this book I'd be doing better. Still I think my cheats haven't been too bad though I'd kill for a Ho-ho right now. Hubby still can't believe i choose to do this during deadline time. Just proves I'm crazy:)
I can't wait until we get to meet in Dallas!! You'll be the first blog person I'll have met. We have to get something penciled so we make sure it happens! And no dieting for me that week!!!!!
You call that cheating? Jeez! You are a strong, STRONG woman!
You're doing great with the revisions, though I am sorry to hear about the tears. I'm sure everything will work out in the end and you will feel great when it's all over. Will you have 'down-time' between or go straight to the next book?
You're doing good. We have faith that you'll meet your deadline with your completed work.
The small quantity of sweets that you ate is minor compared to what you could have eaten.
Keep up the good work on your diet and good luck with your revisions.
You can do it!
I do hope you'll be able to take a break before you start on your next book.
Thanks Brandy. I haven't been feeling very strong. Your words make me feel better:) I hope to take off this weekend before I start the next book. I really can't afford to take off more time than that due to the kids being home during the summer. We have some vacations planned too. So I gotta take advantage of those first couple of weeks in June and put a dent into that new story. The proposal is due at the end of August.
Okay, you guys are too sweet, Dru! Thanks so much for the post. I guess I could have eaten more, but I still would love a ho-ho. May just settle for another piece of chocolate later. See above for my break. And thanks again!
Hang in there... you're doing great (though, I have to admit, every time I read your blog posts I hear the "Jeopardy" theme in my head).
As for the diet... sheesh... you're doing awesome!
I'll tune in later to see how well you did on your writing. I have faith in you!
LOL on the Jeopardy Theme! That's exactly how I feel, Marianne!
Thanks for making me laugh. I needed it!!!! xoxox
