Yesterday's WOD was called Michael. The guys were going to work out in the afternoon, but since us girls would have the kids, we decided to meet after we dropped the kids off at school. It was a little different with just the two of us there. Instead of listening to the harder music (not sure what else to call it) the guys prefer, girly music filled the garage.
We did the official Crossfit warm up, then went on to Michael. Since I was a little sore from the day before, I did the buttercup version (i.e. the easiest scaled workout.)
3 rounds for time:
400m run
10 Back extensions (I did Good Mornings with weighted bar)
20 situps (I used the abmat)
Time: 16:59 (I am sooooo slow when it comes to running!)
Today (Thursday) is a rest day. Thank goodness. I'm really sore.

So you inspired me to work out. I did a video called Slim-in-Six. These are not for the faint of heart.
I'm still shaking.
But I feel better for the half hour of sweat.
The only easy day was yesterday ;-)
Keep hugging it out... it only gets easier.
And I expect to make an appearance in HEL at least one time this year!
How are you feeling today, Amy? I'm so proud of you for doing that video. I've never heard of that series but Slim-in-Six is a great title. I'd sure like to be slim in six. Minutes, if I could ;)
Keep it up!
Thanks John! I feel like I'm starting all over. I was that sore. And I'm sure I'll put in an appearance at HEL eventually!
Slim in Six...The idea is that you do the workout six days a week for six weeks. There are three levels of workout. I did level one, then week 2-3, you do level two, weeks 4-6 level three. But workouts 2 & 3 are long, so I usually only do workout 1.
Not that I expect to drop 60# in six weeks, but I think it's forming the habit of being active each day. Not easy when you're main profession involves sitting at a computer for hours on end...
Good exercise... you are not the only slow runner in the place, trust me!
