100 Years of Mills & Boon

I write for Harlequin Mills & Boon. The Mills & Boon office is located in Richmond which is outside of London. 2008 marks the 100 year anniversary, the centenary, of the company. To celebrate, there have been special flashes on books, Dear Readers letters to mark the occasion and various events.

If you'd like to see a range of M & B romance covers over the decade's check out their facebook photo albums.

Do you have a favorite romance cover?

Oh wow! Covers sure have changed over the years. Since I don't just a book by its cover I can't say I have a favorite. Although a good historical cover will catch my eye first for some reason.

I probably do have a favorite, but then again it depends on the author.

How are you feeling?

I'm rather fond of the cover for Michelle Willingham's The Irish Warrior. Very hunky dude! :)

I tend to flinch away from the "clinch" covers. They are hard to read with the kids around. *G*
AS for a favorite cover, do you mean of the ones listed? Or of a book we own or have read?

Hope you're feeling much better today! Have a good day!

Oh, man... I'm starting a short vintage set in 1935 -- I want to use the book "Man and Waif" in it! LOL...

Thanks for sharing :-)

Glad you're enjoying the link! I thought it was fun to see how covers had changed :-)

Brandy - your fave book cover of all time. Not one from HMB.

Dru - I'm going downhill again. I went and bought a Neti Pot today at Walgreens. Someone said they work wonders with sinus problems. I sure hope so because this is getting ridiculous especially since I'm still on antibiotics!

Oh, I've heard a lot about that Neti Pot - let us know if you like it - sounds kind of unpleasant.

There are just too many great covers out there for me to pick!

I have lots of covers I like. One came to mind right now is Virginia Smith's Murder by Mushroom.
But there are other great covers I like. Some covers I haven't even liked the books as well. Others the cover doesn't give a clue to what is in the book.
Enter me in contest.

I've already seeen this and it's amazing the changes. I have too many favs too list. I like the new ones I've seen lately that have one color over the entire cover.
