Given the imminent arrival of Chaos, I decided to see what the cats' reaction would be to a dog. I held onto Angus' collar and brought him into the cat's sanctuary, aka as our bedroom.
To my surprise, nothing happened.
Spirit didn't move until Angus took a step toward her. Then she only raised her head and looked at him. Rocket continued lying in the laundry basket.
I brought Angus a little closer. Spirit held her ground, but hissed. When I brought Angus toward Rocket, he had the same reaction as Spirit. Hissing, that was all. I was so worried they might run! Huge sigh of relief.
Poor Angus though. I think he thought he'd found new friends to play with. Of course, what he really wanted to do was make a bee-line for the bathroom where the cat food was!
Here's a clip with some really cute cat pictures. I like the song, too.
I'm spending another day in bed, what about you?

How'd Spirit's vet appointment go?
Goin' to the airport :) :) :)
You do realize that the cats are familiar with Angus' scent and that they might react differently with Chaos, right?
Cute video, I luuuuurve little kitty babies!
Take care and get some rest! Hope you feel better soon.
I wrote about the vet appt. in yesterday's comments, Tori.
Have fun with your company, Amy.
Yes, I know about the scent, Brandy, but Angus is bigger than Chaos. Mainly I just wanted to see their reaction to him and if they'd run or not. Them not running is key.
Aren't those kitties so cute! I had to add that one to my you tube faves!
Usually cats and dogs don't get alone unless they grow up together. I guess time will tell. Those vidios of the kitties where really cute. I hope you get to feeling better soon!!
How are you feeling? Are you getting plenty of rest? How's youngest kidlet?
aaawww the kitten in the videos look so cute. It makes me want to have one.
What a sweet video! Thanks for sharing.
Hope you're feeling better. :)
Aw, poor Angus. My sister has a little dog (14 lbs) - she (the dog) doesn't really get along with other dogs, but she loooves cats. She'll approach them slowly, keeping her head below theirs the entire time, or play bow, and the cat will be hissing up a *storm* the entire time.
Hopefully after they are better acquainted they can be friends.
Our Pom mix is a brat and chases our younger cat all the time. Sometimes she will play but mostly she just runs to a high place the dog can't get to.Our older cat put her in her place right away with a hiss and swat so shes afraid of her.
What cute kitties! Are your cats declawed? I was just thinking about
Angus; especially his eyes. Take care,Cindi

The cats aren't declawed, but I think it would take real fear for them to scratch something. Angus is now coming into our bedroom. As soon as he gets too close for the cats comfort they hiss and he goes away.
I'm late posting but there wasn't a comment link the other day lol. I just loved the video!!! I think most animals adjust in time as long as they can do it at their own pace.
What an adorable video! I love cats but am allergic to them. I hope everyone is feeling much better!
