Chaos is coming!

It looks like Sunday is the day!

Chaos had her stitches removed and is doing great. The vet asked the woman of all her dogs why she was giving this dog away. My heart just broke. You see, Chaos belongs to the rescue coordinator. She's giving her dog to us because she thinks Chaos would be happier living with a family. After talking to us about the rescue available, she thought we'd be a great fit for her own dog, who loves attention, but now has to vie with three other dogs. That's true love, don't you think?

To make my life easier, she offered to gather all the supplies we'd need and bring them with her and Chaos. She's going to drive the doggy to us. That way she can see where Chaos will be living. All we need to do is set a time.

And we're not so far away that we can't visit or leave Chaos with her when we travel. I think we get the better end of the bargain, but she's happy for her beloved Chaos.

The kidlets still don't know. Someone sort of spilled the beans this weekend, but both Tom and I were quick to say "No!" to the question about getting a dog. I later called him to explain. He'd figured it out on his own. The kids have been asking questions about Chaos for weeks now. Rose was peppering me about her yesterday.

A few more days. That's all we have to wait. Fingers crossed the secret remains, well, a secret!

Anything coming up in your life that you're looking forward to?

Nothing exciting happening here this weekend. But, we're eagerly awaiting Daughters birthday on the 26th! I'm going to be the Mom of a teenager! GAH!

YAY! Can't wait to hear all about the secret being revealed! I know you won't post pics of your kids, but could you post a new pic of Chaos?

Hope you're feeling better!

I think I'm more excited. Make sure you have batteries for the digital camera. Do you have a video camera...I would love to see the look on the kidlets faces when Chaos comes into your home. Chaos is going to be so loved. Congratulations! Sunday can't come soon enough.

Amy, woo hoo on the new bed. I'm looking new bedroom sets as we speak.

Nothing going on that I'm looking forward to this year..well perhaps a couple of days in California.

I think that is so very touching and, yes, true love!!!

My daughter is visiting this weekend for more wedding plans and appointments but they're bringing THEIR NEW PUPPY. A mixed rescue. Personally I think they should have waited until after the wedding. Guess who is going to be puppy sitting lol and with my 6 cats and their cat.

Amy - I will photograph, but we don't show our kids on the Internet unless they are unrecognizable. That is all bundled up in ski gear or not facing the camera. So I'm not sure if pics will make it on the blog or not.

I do hope you put a picture of your new bed on your blog! I really want to see it.

Thanks, Tori.

Dru - that so cute you're excited. I honestly can't think about it too much. I'm afraid I'll spill the secret. We will have the batteries charged though and will be good to go.

California sounds great.

Sounds like a big weekend catslady. I hope your youngest has a great 21st birthday. Good luck with the new puppy in the house. Both this weekend and during the honeymoon! You'll have to tell us how it goes!

I hope you have a great time at the British car show, Cherie! I get these images of people in dresses and hats eating strawberries and cream!

That's exciting news, Cindi. I'm sure you miss him so much and can't wait for him to be back home!!!!

Oh. Oh...

Oh, that just breaks my heart that the lady is giving you HER OWN DOG.

Wow.

**sniff**

And, I'm looking forward to next Monday. Yes, really. My whole week is all messed up, and that makes me very unhappy.

I live for routine.

Oh - that's so exciting! Sad when dogs have to be placed, but dog owners/ breeders that really love their dogs have to do that a lot. I'm looking forward to summer break! Although it'll be the first time I'm taking classes in the summer - imagine escaping it for 18 years of school... also that means I'll have another round of finals to get through. Eek!

Congratulations on Chaos finally coming to join your family. I know you have been looking forward to that for a while. I hope you will be able to keep the secret from the kidlets a few more days.

Marianne - it is hard to believe. But we're so very thankful. That's for sure. Hope Monday comes fast enough for you!

Limecello - sorry you have to take classes during the summer. I hope that lightens your load through the year though!

Virginia - thanks! Fingers crossed!

That's wonderful news about Chaos. What love she has to see the best for her dog. My daughter did the same thing recently and her dog's with a loving family that can spend tons of time with her.
