I was served a yummy breakfast: strawberry smoothies, scrambled eggs, sausage, freshly baked sweet rolls and grapefruit juice. Then I was given my cards and presents.
From Mackenna who also made me a pretty, colorful framed flower picture with magnets on the back:
From Finn who also gave me a flower he'd drawn using pastels, a beaded bookmark with a cross on the end he'd made and three paper rose coupons for me to redeem (help with dinner, help with breakfast, help with Rose):
From Rose who also gave me a calendar with a picture she'd colored:
We were going to go skiing today, but hubby will be gone all week and we have too many things that need to get done around here. Though I'm hoping to sneak in an hour or two of writing. I'll be calling my mom, too!
How are you spending the day?

Happy Mother's Day! Awww, such beautiful and heartfelt gifts! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Happy Mother's Day.
For some reason I never could bring myself to redeem those coupons - I still have them. Every once in a while I threaten to still have them honor them now that they are grown with one out of the house and one leaving soon. I know this is a cliche, but enjoy them while they're young. It goes so fast.
I was lucky to enjoy a lunch with some family members - my mom, my sister and her daughter and one of her daughters - 4 generations.
Happy Mother's Day! We went to mass this morning and than hubby and the kids took me out to lunch. Cake, my card and opening my present will be tonight. It's been a lovely day. Glad you have been having a lovely one as well.
aaawww, handmade gifts are always the best.
Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day... I also used to give drawings to my mom when I was younger, and hse still has them.
Aww so cute! Happy Mother's Day!
My dad cooked dinner for my mom today, and I got her flowers :)
Chaos followed
That could be interpreted sooo many ways. ;)
Great cards. I love the homemade cards the best, don't you?
How did I spend my day? Doing laundry, breaking up fights, cracking the whip over the kids and their chores...
It sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I love the cards. :)
Here we spent a nice, quiet, relaxing day. Warm and sunny, a perfect Sunday.
Thanks everyone!
It was a great day. We went out to lunch, Thai food, then hubby and kidlets took me to REI. I got two pairs of capris (nylon so they'll dry fast if wet plus have built-in sun protection) and a blue Marmot Precip jacket that were on sale. They also bought me a pretty flower plant in a pot for our front! That was all a nice surprise.
Last night I had an a-ha moment and figured out a scene that was giving me trouble!
A great day, weekend really!
Happy Monday! I have kept all of the wonderful Mother's Day gifts that my sons gave me at an early age!
Priceless.....Cindi
