Crossfit - a hot day

It was 93 F when I started my workout. By the time I finished it felt a lot hotter!

Warm-up: 500m row, pass throughs

Skills: Shoulder press

WOD: 3 rounds (only managed 2 cause of heat) of 15 box jumps, 15 jumping pull-ups, 15 kettle bell swings (30#)

Cool down: 30 situps

I was working out at the garage gym. All I could think about was how nice it would be to have A/C right now! But I made it through two rounds. My face was tomato red though. It stayed that way for a while.

Do you change your exercise routine when it gets hot or does temperature not matter to you?

My usual exercise time is in the evening. I try to exercise in the morning when it's going to be very hot at night, but it doesn't always work out. (hee hee).

If I have to exercise when it's hot, I do bump up the AC so I don't pass out.

My exercise routine changes if it's humid. I will walk more around the office building to make up for not being outdoors.

As you know the AC where I work out is broken. I still go, but suffer. *G* And I SO know what you mean about a tomato red face. *G*

I hope you have a pleasant day!

WOW... You are couragious!

The hot weather is used as an excuse to stop exercising!

During the hottest days I try and get the workout in early in the morning. Otherwise I tend to skip it! All right, there you have it...my guilty confession! :)

I usually stay at home when it's very hot and take walks after supper.
