A bigger bed

We've been talking about getting a bigger bed for awhile now. We currently have a queen which was a big step up from the full we had when we first got married.

This morning it became apparent that we've now outgrown the queen. In bed at 6 am were me, hubby, one dog and two cats. Talk about crowded. I couldn't move.

Rocket and Spirit sleep on my side of the bed. Rocket stretches out along side me. Spirit curls up on my feet. Chaos sleeps on hubby's side so our bodies block her from the cats. That doesn't leave a lot of room for humans.

Guess it's time to start researching mattresses. Does anyone have recommendations?

LOL at the cats.

I have no suggestions since I'll be shopping soon for a bedroom set. I do know a lot of people are buying those tempur-pedic mattresses.

These cat pix crack me right up. Look at the expression in the black-and-white's eyes! LOL!

We have a king and love it. We bought this one a couple of years ago; we did the old-fashioned test-in-the-store bit, reclining on set after set until we both agreed on the "perfect" one. We laughed our way through the process! Have fun! :)

Yes, yes, yes! Get the tempur-pedic and king size. We splurged a few years back and have never been sorry. We started out with a double and then moved on to a queen waterbed of which we had 3 but this bed is by far the best. We've always had at least one dog sleeping with us but now I own 6 cats lol. Normally 4 of them sleep with us but they stay on my side and it gives my husband tons of room. During the day it gives them lots of room without having to be close to another one lol.

We have a king size bed and we just love it. It doesn't matter which kind but you will love the king.

In the name of all that is holy, DO NOT buy a pillow top. Plush top? Okay. Pillow top? NO.

And if you can't agree on a single mattress? Two long twins = 1 standard king. Seriously. Go for the good night's sleep.

My first choice would be a TempurPedic. I never regretted that one, not once.

Well, until we got rid of it. Wasn't crazy about that decision.

Huh.

Guess I'm the only one who says, "Get a doggy bed."

Go figure.

We have a king and the only advice I could give is to make sure you don't buy a CA king, even though you live in the Pacific NW. It's just WAY easier to buy regular king sheets. And we have a Sterns and Foster. It's been great. I only have to share with a kitty or two, and the hubs. Then again, the hubs is not a small person. *G*

I hope you have a wonderful day!

I don't know if you have a membership at Costco's or Sam's Club, but their prices are pretty reasonable.

Meh - it won't let me comment. All the other comments are good- or maybe an Ikea?

I agree about the Ca. King - our last waterbed was a Ca. King and it was hard to get sheets. If you see this Amy, what didn't you like about the pillow top? My daughter just bought one!

Animals on the floor.

That makes a lot of people/animals in one bed!
