Facebook and Friday Fun

I'm loving Facebook. My hands keep it from being a total time waster, though I still try to pop by there a couple times a day to comment on people's status and update mine.

I'm behind on all the little gifts and things people send you, but one of the things that's been fun is the "poke." I really don't know what it is, but every time I go to my profile I see I've been poked by a certain climber so I just poke back. A few people have sent me things called Flair and they are so cool. I love the one's I've gotten but have no idea how to send Flair back.

I've managed to connect with lots of people. High school friends, college friends, climbers, writers, readers, you name it.

One friend I reconnected with came through for me big time yesterday. Rox and I were in band together at Stanford. She has some Hollywood experience so I asked if she'd answer some questions for my current story. She said yes. We spoke yesterday. Needless to say, last night I worked like crazy trying to make my story a whole lot more plausible based on what I learned from her. I was so excited and energized to get writing last night. I'm still psyched today. I love when that happens.

Are you on Facebook? If yes, are you having fun with it?

I'm on facebook and I'm having fun with it. Like you, I'm reconnecting with friends from my past. I love playing some of the games to relieve the pressures of the world.

LOL yes I'm on facebook. Gosh - it's been a number of years now - from the time when only... 12? Universities were part of the network. [Only it hasn't been *that* long.]
Poking honestly is "pointless" it's a fun nothing Mark Z. decided to throw in there. Flair... the application should have some link to take you to a place to send your friends flair. *Or* it might be on their pages.
I like FB - it's a quick and easy way to communicate and keep in touch with people. And it is/was clean. Though I'm still not 100% behind the new layout.

I am Facebook free, for now. It sounds like lots of fun, though.

Hope you have a great Friday. And I love the cat in the bookshelf! Too funny!

I am not of facebook myself but have heard a lot about it. I spend why to much time on the computer as it is so I don't need to add something else on it. I would enjoy meeting up with old friends though.

I love Facebook though I've been slacking off there lately.

I've heard of Facebook, but decided not to try it yet. I already spend too much time on the computer. *G*

Glad to hear you're reconnecting with old and new friends. Great news about your story!

I hope you're having a pleasant day!

I don't think I am lol. I have signed up for so many different places that I've pretty much given up because everything is so time consuming.

Is Facebook like Myspace but for grown-ups?

Glad you're enjoying Facebook Melissa - it sounds interesting and like a great networking tool! What's "flair"? (When I hear the word "flair" I think of what Jennifer Aniston wore in the movie "The Office" - have you seen that movie?).

I think Blogger ate my comment, so if this posts twice, sorry.

I'm on facebook, but rarely have time to get over there. I'm afraid when I do show up it will be a major time sink.

But it looks like crackin' good fun if I ever had time to explore fully.
