Time got away with me on Monday. I'd been waiting for the AAs (page proofs) for my upcoming June 2009 release, Blind Date with the Millionaire, to be delivered since I first missed the DHL truck on Wednesday. They finally arrived, and I dove right in.
I really like how the story reads so far. Only a few minor things I want to change in the first hundred or so pages. So yay! I hope I feel the same way when I reach the end.
Here are your random numbers:

Hmmm. Last week's random number was 8. This week's was 9. Interesting.
Okay, this week's free book winner is Jane again. She won with a comment on the post Free book giveaway. Jane, please choose one book from the list here. Email me your choice along with your snail address.
Last week's winner Amy chose His Mistress By Morning by the oh-so-talented Elizabeth Boyle. Happy Reading, Amy!
A new contest begins now! To enter, post a comment on my blog. Each comment earns one entry! Good luck! Oh, and I'll have a special mini-contest going on later this week with a $5 amazon prize. Check back tomorrow for more details and where to enter!
Also, I found this quiz and thought it was perfect seeing my Blind Date with a Millionaire has a strong Jane Austen influence.
You Are...Marianne Dashwood!
You are Marianne Dashwood of Sense & Sensibility! You are impulsive, romantic, impatient, and perhaps a bit too brutally honest. You enjoy romantic poetry and novels, and play the pianoforte beautifully. To boot, your singing voice is captivating. You feel deeply, and love passionately.
What Jane Austen heroine are you?

Congrats Jane!
You are Elinor Dashwood of Sense & Sensibility!
You are practical, circumspect, and discreet.
Though you are tremendously sensible and allow your head to rule, you have a deep, emotional side that few people often see.
Congrats Jane!
I think it's great that you're satisfied with how your upcoming release has turned out. What a fabulous feeling. I'm looking forward to reading it. :)
Congrats Jane! WTG
Dru - hey, look, we're sisters!!!! Do you think Elinor fits you? Marianne is probably pretty darn close though I cannot sing at all ;)
Thanks Sarita. It is a good feeling to revisit a story after a month or two and enjoy it. I don't read my books once they are published so once I send these off that's it for these characters!
I'm Marianne Dashwood, too! Too bad I've never read the book she's in. *g* My Jane Austen education is sadly lacking...
You Are...Elizabeth Bennet!
Elizabeth Bennet!
You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.
Congrats, Jane!
Oh, Tori, you must read more Jane Austen. At least check out a couple of the better movie adaptations! I heart Jane Austen so much. I even went to Chawton to see her house and the Dorset coast were some of her scenes take place. And I'm not surprised we're the same character. We seem to like a lot of the same things! And how cool is it to have Dru as our big sister ;p
Very cool, Amy. I didn't check all the writeups so it's fun to read Lizzy's!
You are Anne Elliot of Persuasion! Let's face it; you're easily persuaded, particularly when friends and relatives try to use "the Elliot way" against you. But this doesn't mean that you don't have conviction. Actually, your sense of duty is overwhelming. And though you won't stick your neck out too often, you have learned to speak up when it counts. To boot, you know how to handle sticky situations. You love deeply and constantly.
Congrats Jane.
I meant to say the quiz got me right lol.
Thanks, Melissa and everyone.
I'm Elinor Dashwood, too.

I can't play right now, I'm on Chris' computer and have no idea how this thing works! *G*
Congratulations Jane!
I'm glad you like your proofs Melissa!
I hope you had a lovely day.
Haha - ironic. Congratulations, Jane! :P I'm Marianne Dashwood too.
