Busy

The funny thing about coming off a deadline is realizing how much you've let slide over the last week or so. Because of hosting Thanksgiving (Someone had asked in the comment section, but I made everything except the rolls and pie), the house was clean. (Thanks to hubby, not me!) But everything else has just piled up. Literally.

I slept in a little yesterday, then attacked the laundry. Next was recycling all my expired coupons. And then... You get the picture.

Not a lot of relaxing. I also had two classes to teach and another class to take the kidlets to. Typical Wednesday. I left home at noon and got home around 7 pm. But it felt good to get back to my usually routine. And I made a lot of phone calls since I haven't talked to people in weeks because of the surgery, Denver and then deadline.

I've started catching up on other blogs, too. That's been fun.

What have you been up to?

What is it about Wednesdays that make them SO busy?! We have the same sort of crazy schedule--early dismissal, piano, trampoline, cub scouts, and did I get to go to knitting guild? I'll let you take a guess.

Wednesday is my day to run around - I get about 4 hours sleep to get up for bowling and then most of the time we do lunch and then I force myself to do chores such as shopping lol.

Daughter had her surgery this week and now I'm playing nursemaid. I'm also worrying like mad. *sigh*

I hope you accomplish all you've set out to do today!

Bummer on not making your guild meeting, Elizabeth. Good to know I'm not the only one with a crazy Wednesday.

You, too, Catslady. Wonder what it is about hump day that's so crazy.

Hope your daughter is feeling better, Brandy. Thanks!

I had a wonderful lunch with my friend Alison. She's the irish dance dress designer I've mentioned before. It's funny how her artistic endeavors with dress design have a lot in common with writing. We talked for hours. Totally lost track of time. Oops. It was great to catch up, eat yummy Thai food and just spend time out of the house.

Now I'm home, the kids are going to Irish dance with hubby and I'm going to play around with a new book idea!

I've been getting acclimated with my new company and their policies.
