Sneaky

Yesterday afternoon the front door opened. Nothing odd about that except all five of us were already inside. Creepy!

Except the person walking into the house wasn't a stranger, but the kidlets' uncle (hubby's brother) from NY. You should have heard the squeeing! Talk about a surprise. We knew he was going to be in town, but no plans had been made when we'd be seeing him. The kids were so excited. The last time we saw him was in June when we were back east.

Needless to say we had to do a quick shuffling of plans for our Tuesday evening so we could all go out to eat dinner together. Something that never happens on Tuesday due to dance and swimming. (Mackenna decided to skip her ballet class so she could spend time with her uncle and eat with us!) It was great to all be together. Rose wouldn't let go of him, even when she was eating. It was very sweet.

When we got home, the kidlets had great fun showing their uncle how Xbox works, including how they play games with their cousins who live a couple hours away. My brother-in-law slept in Rose's room on the bottom bunk. She and Beauty took the top one. Finn camped out on the floor.

A fun time for all!

Did you have any surprises in your life yesterday?

That is always fun when someone shows up like that. It doesn't happen to us to often because a lot of our family is gone now. We still have have some left that show up some time.

I am just sitting here smiling! What a fabulous surprise and I love it that the whole family is so jazzed by your special visitor. Sounds like fun.

Me? I had a great surprise just now! Thank you for the gift card--I am thrilled! I have been thinking of ordering a Paris guide but have been putting it off. Now I will place that order, and maybe order some language learning items as well. I appreciate the gift, thank you so much!

It is fun, Quilt Lady!

A great surprise, Sarita. Enjoy the Paris guide. Sorry it took so long to get it to you!

A great time indeed, Dru. But you've met him when we were in NY, I think. Not at Coney Island, but the Italian dinner, right? He's their fave wind up toy so to speak.

Awww, it sounds so sweet. I wish I had close family (other than my kids and Chris). I'm so happy for y'all to have that time together. Best wishes for a great visit!
